Most likely the electronic fuel distributor module. Its a black box fixed to the side of the fuel distributor on the 6.5 TD. The problem will normally get worse until at some point the vehicle wont start at all. This is a common problem on these and is fixed by mounting a new module in a remote location away from the pump. The heat kills the module. Replacement module and extension harness with heat sink will run a few hundred dollars, but don't let anyone sell you on a new fuel distributor($1400) until you confirm that it's not the module.
sounds like an injector is bad.
IF IT IS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAR, THEN IT SOUNDS AS IF YOUR CLUTCH IS BAD/WORN OUT.
the fan belt needs tighteneing
any diesel oil will be fine
I had this same problem when i bought my cavalier. I had the ignition lock\key part changed and I changed the ignition switch myself and it worked fine. Now I have yet another problem.
Dirty fuel filter.
If it has a Diesel it is probably the injector pump starting to fail.
Drain the fuel tank or pump it out. Remove and replace the fuel filter. Use starter fluid to start the engine. No damage will be done and the engine will run fine once all the diesel is removed.
sounds like injectors
Fine China
sounds like... starter.
Start by checking that the blower motor has both power and ground, sounds like that may be your problem..............
