yes it will
2.0l 4g63 head will fit on a 2.4l 4g64 block. there are a couple holes that will have to be plugged for oil on the block but other then that you should be good. and there is no need to swap tranny unless you want a better one.
Yes but the 1g intake manifold port size is too big and the head stud bolt holes may need to be widened to 12mm from 11mm. You can use the 1g intake but a 2g intake would be recomended.
Yes
The good old 4G63, or like me a 4g64/w 4g63 head. higher stroke 100mm vs. 88mm i believe.
Is the B18C head Compatable with the B20 Block
Yes it can, the only difference is you need the oil gap plug that feeds the turbo off of the turbo head. other than that it will work perfectly fine with no issues. I would suggest taking the replacement head into a machine shop and having them look it over. I did the same thing with mine and was glad they did due to finding the valve stem oil boot seals were cracked and would leak oil not to mention they shaved the head down so I got a little more compression.
If you suspect the head and/or the block, have them "magnafuxed" by a machine shop. On the other hand, as you're pulling it apart, check the head gasket and if it's shot, there is usually only the one problem.
A cracked block means that the engine itself is cracked. A blown head-gasket means that the gasket between the engine and the head has blown. Either can be caused by overheating the engine. When an engine overheats the head can warp causing the head-gasket to give out. In some engines the heat cracks the block. If the block is cracked, it's over. If the head-gasket is blown you can always machine the head surface and put it all back together.

i do not know your car or what you have done but on a stock block with stock ecu settings i would not to over 20psi. anything over that you need to start tuning. make sure the first thing on you list is head bolts. you will boost the head off before you brake that bottom end. hope this helps. 97 gst 25psi love it. have fun
A head gasket is a gasket the separates the cylinder head and the block. It separates the coolant passages, cylinders and oil passages. There are many other posts on this page that will provide more details. The head gasket provides a seal between the head and the engine block.
