you need a casting number some have thicker walls 2bolt vrs 4bolt mains ect.
can be both ,i have a 350 010 2bolt main
4 degrees BTDC.
Research tells me the following: 7/16 Main Caps (2 Bolt): 70ft-lbs 7/16 Inners (4Bolt): 70ft-lbs 7/16 Outers (4Bolt): 65ft-lbs 3/8 Outer Main (4Bolt): 40ft-lbs
if it has the double hump heads..more than likely 350hp. If not 250hp
On a 4 bolt block, the three center main caps are held on by 4 bolts instead of 2.
It could be.
Around 375
no you cant. but i will go a bit deeper. im guessing you have the 350 with code ending in 0010 (its the most common)...i have had three of the 0010 350 blocks.... one was a two bolt and the other two were 4 bolt mains.
If you can get your hands on a 4 bolt main 350 that would be the better of the two. If all you have is the 2 bolt main, you can have a machine shop drill the holes out for you. That might cost a pretty penny. I built a 2 bolt main 350 for my mud truck i went all out with it heads, bored .30 over, 750 double pumper holly carb. ect. I never had a problem with it!
Probably 4 bolt.
4bolt 350ci
