2004 GMC truck ran out of gas and now it wont start even after putting in gas where is reset button?

Try turning the key to on position without trying to start vehicle for about 5 sec. Do this 2-3 times and then try to start
If you simply ran it out of gas you will need to check the fuses labeled ECM on the fuse panel under the hood. See the fuse guide on the underside of the fuse box cover to locate them. If you find one burnt, replace and it should start right up within a few attempts.
