This sounds like it could be the overall alignment of the car. The car should be aligned and then the steering should stop pulling toward either side.
where is the power steering cap for renault megane 2005
there is no fluid, they are electronic power steering, which is an electric motor fitted to the steering column under the dashboard
probably does not have one as Renault often use electric / electronic power steering.
this is sometimes due to a slightly low brake fluid level, sometimes happens with me when pulling away with steering applied
It has to be reset by a Renault dealer (or anyone with a Renault Clip diagnostic).
Hi I am having exactly the same problem - except that I have not changed the battery recently. This is a very common fault in Renault megane II of this age as is inherent problems with the turbo giving out. if you google Renault megane steering fault you will find many people with the same problems - also visit www.meganeownersclub.co.uk for some more support
On the left side of the fuse box (on the lower right hand side of the steering wheel)
Try left of the steering wheel, at the fuse panel...that little plastic door. I have a 54 reg 1.9TD dynamic and it's not to the left of the steering wheel.....
If the car has a lot of miles on it, it's probably the motor mounts.
You don't it's electronic I just found out myself I'm gutted hate those always fail
You require the 4 digit code from the dealership. You will need to enter this via the steering wheel stork or central locking button dependant on the model.
if you press the button in on your right hand stick on steering wheel and hold it in it will reset youre trips in the computer
