The engine will turn over with spark or no spark. Your's turns over I assume and has no spark. Check the coil pak. or ign. module if equipped.
Check the fuel pump or the fuel ignition if its not getting gas.
You may not have any spark, you need to check for spark with a spark tester..If you do not have spark it could be caused by your spark control modulel,bad coil ect.find out why you have no spark...Have you been having problems before with the truck turning off or stalling, prior to this? If so then i would suspect the spark control module.

check for spark and fuel pressure I just had this problem with a 1989 Cherokee and had to have a Cranking Sensor installed.

When you take off the distributer cap, each of the leads coming from the spark plugs originate in leads on the distributor. Check those leads for corrosion. A sure sign of this is if any of the cylinders are misfiring or not receiving spark and the spark plugs are fine. Also check to make sure it turns freely.

Do you have a hot start kit installed? Perhaps it is the relay switch?. Have had the same problem with both an 87 and 88 Cabriolet. Not sure if that will help but you never know! Larissa
I had this problem with my 1990 century. Turns out ther silenoid on my starter was bad, I replaced it and it worked fine. Also when its dark outside pop the hood and have a buddy look for any spark at all when you try and start it. Test for a broken wire between the fuel pump and power distribution box. Check for bad connectors also.
