The reality is teen years cover a wide range from childhood (13) to adulthood (19) and represent several years of growth. Not to mention the difference between a male or female teen.
Average wrist size correlates more accurately with height and gender (and bone structure/thickness), and has nothing to do with age (or being a teen).
The average wrist for a male is considered just over 7 inches. The average wrist for a female is just under 6 inches.
Taller people, or those with large bone structure will be higher than average; shorter people or those with thin bone structure will be below this average.
If you look at typical bracelet sizes, smalls run 5 to 6 inches, mediums run 6 to 7 inches and a large runs 7 to 8 inches. Sizes outside of those ranges tend to be special orders or custom builds.
