It will not stick. To paint a tarp successfully you would need Hilltronix H-200 Series Coatings. This product will stick to the tarp and be able to flex and give as the tarp bends.

you get a glue stick and empty it. fill it up with paint and a bit of nailpolish remover and the rip of th spongey bit of a whiteborad duster. cut about 1 6th of that off and stick it in th end of your glue stick, should work well (:
