Check bulbs -- they are double filamented--smaller filament for stop lights - larger filament is for tailights
Do parking lights and dash lights work? If not could be a fuse or headlight switch
if all other lights are working, i would start with the reverse light switch.this is usually located on the side of the transmission
Most likely the relay has failed.
Turn signal indicators are lights. The flash to tell you, or indicate, that a turn signal is on, and which way the lights are flashing.
Double check the wiring diagrams for your vehicle but it's probable the flashers and signals use the same relay to function. The wiring for your flashers will go through the hazard switch which is where the malfunction is. If you replace the switch your problem should be solved.
the bulbs could be out. if it has a trailer hitch on it and it was installed after market (not by the dealed), a lot of the time the marker lights to the trailer are spliced in to the licese plate lights and the type of conector that are used are prone to corosion. if that is the case just splice it together after the corroded wirer is remove and seal it electrical heat shrink.
The switch must be shot. What kind of vehicle is it?
Fuse or 4 way flasher unit there are 2 flashers on for turns one for 4 ways
Bad hazard switch.
where is hazard light switch on toyota corolla
try the hazard warning light switch as if this fails the indicators will not operate then if not try the hazard light relay
bad fuse or hazard switch
Check the hazard light switch. This switch cuts the power to the indicators when in use. If the switch has failed it will cause an open circuit in the indicator circuit.
It contains two relays, one for hazard lights and the other for turn signals. The one for the turn signals is defective and must be replaced.
Your car has two flasher relays. One for the turn signal lights and one for the hazard lights. Replace the one for the hazard lights. Any auto parts store can tell you the location and sell you a new one.
Test if your hazard lights work. There are normally two flasher cans in most vehicles. If the hazard lights work, It is likely to be the flasher can that works the indicators is blown and in need of replacement. These will be available for under $50US from most auto parts stores.
you click the left thingy
The hazard lights are a seprate circuit even though they share the same bulbs. I would first replace the hazard flasher; it simply plugs in. Usually the hazard flasher is located in the interior fuse panel. I hope this helps you. Mark
It's the turn signal indicator-located behind the hazard lights. You have to take it out and replace it.
Bad bulbs can be the cause of your reverse lights not working on your 1999 Toyota Tacoma. A problem with the reverse switch or bad wires can also be the cause of your reverse lights not working.
