When you exercise you breathe, and your heart beats faster so that it can pump more blood around you body to keep you moving. When you work out, you are moving/using all the muscles of your body. Muscles require oxygen and energy (calories) to continue to respond to your directions like walking or jogging or any other kind of activity. To ensure that the energy and oxygen reach all the necessary blood vessels, the heart would have to increase its pace. The more strenuous your workout, more would be the oxygen requirement and hence the brain would instruct the heart to beat faster to ensure that the muscles are not fatigued because of lack of oxygen.

This is why your heart starts beating faster when you indulge in any form of physical activity. The more strenuous your activity, higher would be the heart beat rate.

Yes because when muscles are used for exercise or anything they must be replenished with oxygen, nutrients, etc. They also produce waste products that need to be taken away from the cells. Blood is the transport system for all of these things so the harder your muscles are worked the quicker they burn through nutrients and produce waste meaning that the blood must flow faster to provide all of this, the only way for blood to flow faster is for you heart to beat faster. i learnt that in mrs. Chandra science class.

because it has to pump more oxygen carrying blood to the working muscles, the muscles need more oxygen when they are working hard, therefore the heart has to pump more blood to them.

Your heart beat about 70 to 75 times per minutes when you are at rest. Our heart beats increases on decreases when you exercise why.?

when we exercise our heart beat increases due to the reason that during exercise the body need more oxygen which is carried by blood so more and more blood carrying oxygen is to move to the part for which we are doing exercise and so more of the work heart have to do to pump the blood so ultimately our heart beat increases

How does exercise affect the heart rate?

Both increase during exercise. If the exercise is sufficient to exceed the limits of cardiac output (that is, if the heart rate gets up to about 180 bpm) then the heart is stimulated to increase in size and strength. Thus - slowly - exercise will cause the resting heart rate to slow down.

What causes your heart rate to increase during exercise?

Exertion on the body causes the need for blood to be circulated at a faster rate - thus the heart rate increases to make this happen. This can be a good thing. Before exercise your heart rate might increase in anticipation of the exercise.

What happence to your pulse rate when you exercise?

when you exercise, your heart rate increases. the more explosive and intense the exercise, the higher the rate will go. As with any muscle in the body, exercise makes it stronger. a stronger heart allows for more blood and oxygen to circulate with each pump resulting in your heart rate lowering not only during exercise but in daily life. a lower heart rate means your heart does not have to work as hard and thats a good thing !!!

Why does the heart beat speed up after exercise?

When presented with a training stimulus (or even the thought of a training stimulus), your heart rate will naturally begin to increase. This is the body's way of preparing for a stressful situation where its survival might be called into question. Understand that your body cannot differentiate between running around a track and running from a hungry lion--both are situations equally deserving of a rapid increase in heart rate to prepare it to "survive" the encounter. The reason why your heart needs to beat faster as the physical demands on the body increase has to do with the concept of sufficiency. Generally speaking, your body only wants to perform the minimum amount of work to complete a task. When sitting around watching television, your organs and tissues do not require that much oxygen to continue functioning. Thus, your heart will beat slowly, conserving its strength. To the contrary, when exercising, your body requires much more oxygen to keep your body moving at rapid rate--causing your heart to speed up to meet the demands.

Why does the heart beat faster when exerciseing?

As you exercise, the muscles need more oxygen to work. The heart beats faster to get the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the muscles. The harder you exercise, the more oxygen the muscles need, the faster the heart beats.

Why does the heart rate change while we are resting and during exercise?

Does a healthy heart beat faster or solwer after 30 minutes of exercise?

slower. Although 30 minutes of good exercise will make anyone's heart increase speed, a lower heart rate is better than a speeding one. This means that your heart is healthy and strong enough to pump enough oxygen to all parts of your body, without having to work overtime.

If Smoking makes your heart beat faster which is bad then how come people said it is good to exercise when your heart beat faster?

Exercise forces your heart to work harder to keep up with an increased demand for oxygen and nutrients from your muscles. This type of exertion is entirely natural, and it's good for you because it strengthens your heart along with the rest of your body. Note that you still need to monitor your heart rate; depending on your size and general fitness, having it go too high can be dangerous. A doctor can tell you what ranges are safe.Smoking, on the other hand, sends a flood of chemicals through your system that weaken your heart muscles, which means your heart has to work much harder to keep up a normal supply of blood to the body. In this case, the heart beating faster is a symptom of the damage the various chemicals in tobacco are doing to your body.

What is the effect of ice or cold water to the rate of the heart beat?

How does the bike help your heart?

I ride my bike every day and it helps your heart by a chain, okay? The chain starts like this...You ride your bike. You lose weight.Your heart gets relaxed because it doesn't have to pump as much as it did when you weren't riding your bike because of the fat making it work harder to do actions. Simple as that.Actually, I think that any form of exercise makes your heart beat harder/faster, which is exercise for the heart, which makes it stronger.

Why will your heart beat faster after you run?

- Muscles require oxygen to function - When running, you are working muscles - Blood carries oxygen, the heart pumps blood When running, as the muscles require more oxygen to work harder, the heart must pump blood around your body quicker, delivering more oxygen to the muscles that require it. The way that the heart does this is to increase heart rate.

What effect does exercise have on a persons heart rate?

The heart is a muscle, and exercise is great for it! Strength training helps to enlarge your blood vessels so the blood flows quicker, which means the heart won't have to beat as fast (or work as hard) as it would in someone with smaller vessels. Cardio exercise, such as aerobics, kick-boxing, or even a brisk walk raises the heart rate which also makes the heart stronger so that it can endure more. Basically, the stronger the heart is the better it works! You should try to do a combination of both, as this is the best way to help your heart stay healthy!
