I had the same problem and I took it in and it was the rear brake ground wire shorting out.

If it were the ignition switch, the vehicle would not start even with a jump. The battery is either not holding a charge or the alternator is not providing the charge to the battery. You can have the battery and the alternator checked (usually free of charge) at an auto parts store,

You need to turn the ignition on (NOT start the car), and then hold the Auto button in on the stalk until the Message "Auto Lights Activated" appears on the central display. Do the same to turn it off, except it just Bongs at you to confirm that feature is off. Then they should work in their AUTO mode although they do sometimes come on a little later than I would have liked. Hope this helps. :-)
