There are specific paints for metal intended to control rusting. At one time they contained high amounts of powdered lead oxide. These have pretty well been replaced by less toxic materials. Several modern paints are based in part on acrylic plastics.

Talk to the people at the paint store for better advise but choose a reducer that matches your paint and temperature range and I go with a 2 to 1 reducer to paint ratio using a 50psi regulator, that works well enough for me.
Probably your best option is acrylic paint. Acrylic paint also is good on polyester.
Its not car paint, but Montana spray paint is definitely the best paint in a spray can. I dont think you will find actual car paint in an aerosol can, but I could be wrong.

Keep it dry! This is the single best advice i can give to you. Also make sure you get rust proof furniture. After you have rust it is very difficult to get rid of it. Sand it down and paint it with an out door metal paint. Also you can try using a simple oil to help prevent you furniture from rusting.
The first thing to do is to remove the rust. You will need to use heat resistant paint. Most stores sell a heat or stove paint that works well.
If you are referring to the grid on the window you have to find the break. A test light works well for this purpose. There is a paint product available at auto parts stores that works as a bridge to complete the connection in the grid.
Your best bet is to phone your local Home Depot or Lowes, and ask someone who works in the Paint Department!

Lacquer paint (works best if you sand it first with a fine-grain sandpaper).
