The crankshaft comes out of the bottom of the engine with the engine out of the car. Get a manual on your car from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM. sorry, i asked the wrong question, i just need to know how to remove the pully of crankshaft, Thanks!
The sensor is down on the front of the oil pan just behind the crankshaft pully, which is located at the front of the engine.
As far as i now, having just replaced the water pump on my 90 sunbird LE non-turbo, there are several marks to look for. The first is on the bottom pully which should be alinged with 8 on the plastic timing belt cover. Next after removing the plastic timing belt cover - no simple task as you have have to remove the alternator serpentine belt and tensioner - check that the cam shaft sprocket at the top has its notch at 12oclock which will align it with the 'v' groove in the metal timing belt cover bolted to the engine. If not remove the belt by sliding it off adjst the cam shaft sprocket as mentioned above and put the belt back on. Good luck. PS you may have to remove the passenger side front wheel and inside wheel shroud to better access the lower part of the timing and crankshaft pully. Best bet hit your local library for the Hayes or daynes autorepair manuals. PPs sorry maybe a better manual would be Chilton's Repair Manual
use impact gun
The only way you can do this that I am aware of, is to by an after market pully for the vehicle, you have to unplug and remove the A?C compressor, and bolt the new pully/bracket to the engine blok in place of the compressor.
It has only one belt. The drive belt drives the Alternator and A/C Compressor and is driven by the crankshaft pully and the slack is taken out by the tenioner pully. It dont have a timing belt,it has a timing chain.
it is generally the lowest pulley on the front of the engine.

Right above the crankshaft pully and balancer on the timing cover...
It is under the timing belt cover near the crankshaft pully / harmonic balancer.
The water pump is located under the timing belt/ front pully cover you need to remove the front engine mount, all belts, crankshaft pully, then remove the cover ( its in two parts) and the camshaft /timing belt as it drives the water pump. Good time to also replace the belt. best to remove the front wheel to get at the crankshaft pully
the same as any other car, with a timing light and a marking on the crankshaft pully. Hope this helps
This is set electronically by the computer...nothing to set.Answerthe only wayto look at the timing is to set up a timing light and look at the crankshaft pully. but there is no way to set it on this truck
the vacume pump is located at the front of the engine, to the right of the crankshaft pully. it is between the crankshaft pully and the a/c compressor. fellow mill owner jim
It will be on the front of the engine, normally just above the crankshaft pully
if you mean the ingintion timing marks, they are on the crankshaft pully. Use a rag and some cleaner to see them clearly.
Look on the front of the engine...look to the timing marks on the center pully on the end of the crankshaft. Clean the pully off so you can see the timing marks. Work the marking to O (zero)....when the crankshaft is on TDC, pop off the distributor cap and look where the rotor is...that should be number one...and the number one cylinder is the cylinder in the front. I hope this answers your question. DM
