follow the top radiator hose back to the engine. There is a plastic housing held on with three screws that should be T30 torx screws. The t-stat is under that housing.

∙ 9y agoThe 2002 Nissan Maxima thermostat can be found on the front of the engine in the thermostat housing. You can follow the bottom radiator hose directly to the thermostat housing.
