The under is under the truck, in the middle under the engine. You will you have to bring it to an auto repair because there is a bolt that you can't get to from lying under the truck. The truck needs to be a lift to get to the top bolt. My father's van starter went and he had to bring it to Sears. It is very hard to get to the bolt on the top without having the truck suspended on a lift. just pull the motor cover and its on the passenger side of the engine connected to the trans and engine.

The remote starter solenoid is located on the passenger-side fenderwell. This means that a small-sized starter can fit in tighter locations. It also allows for a cheaper repair if just the solenoid goes bad.
