i have a 1996 Mazda Protege and it is at the rear of the transmission if you're looking from the front drivers side. it is almost directly under the throttle position sensor which is located on the rear of your throttle body close to the firewall (almost directly in the center of the engine compartment).

The 1991 Geo speed sensor is located on the side of the transmission. The speed sensor will be on the left-hand side of the transmission.
the cam position sensor and ignition coil are inside the distributor. the crank position sensor is located on the bottom front of the engine, behind the belts on the left side.
Any Prizm or Corolla auto trans from 93 to 97. The 1.6 or the 1.8 housings are all the same. Just make sure if it is a 3 or 4 spd auto. It is a 6 hour job.
I would recommend 5w-30
4 quarts
The wire in center of distributor cap attaches to coil.
