there are 2 hoses that run threw the fire wall on the passenger's side . they are really close together and are 3/4 osd and 5/8 isd the inlet from standing at the front of the car, facing the engine, is on the right hand side.
Coolant low in the radiator, or the vent down sills are plugged with leaves, and other debris.
Generally the coolant goes in the bottom of the heater core and out the top only because the coolant makes less noise this way if there happens to be trapped air in the system, otherwise it doesn't matter.
the heater core, heater core hoses or heater control valve is leaking
Drain about 1 gallon of coolant from radiator Remove housing at engine end of upper radiator hose Note how thermostat is installed Clean surfaces Replace thermostat and gasket Re-Install Refill coolant slowly to prevent an airlock Start engine and look for leaks Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on Re-check coolant level
Did you ever have a coolant leak?
drain coolant from radiator, remove one of the frost plugs in engine block, install block heater in place of frost plug, refill radiator with coolant.
You have to tap into the heater hoses.
The heater control valve in a Mustang is located within the engine. It is right in the heater's core and where the coolant is located.
take it to a garage you fool
the heater core is behind the dash board
The engine coolant level is low or needs to be flushed, and replaced.
The block heater is installed under the exaust manifold. It does not go INTO the coolant. It's a "clamp on" style heater. It heats the coolant by heating the block where there is a coolant passage. To install it, you'll need to remove the head shield from the exaust manifold (3 screws). The heater is secured using 1 bolt.
Look for two coolant lines going into the firewall. That's where your heater core is located.
block heaters are kinda hard to install. you would have to drain your coolant and take out one of the freeze plugs. that's were the block heater gets put in to warm the coolant in the block.
Heater core is probally leaking. Should be located under dash on passenger side.
