What kind of paint do you use to paint concrete outside?

they sell concrete stain. It is made specifically for concrete.

If I were you I would use a Dulux product called 'Luxafloor HS' or 'Luxafloor Eco2'. They are both 2 packs - one being oil based and the other being water based. They can be expensive however.

If you want a cheaper option then you should you a single pack such as the Berger Jet Dry range. You can also get oil and water based in the same range.

The strongest out of all of them is the Luxafloor HS but obviously it will cost you aswell.

First use a wash of TSP to get the surface totally clean and allow to dry fully. Then use two of coats of a primer/sealer such as Kilz (if can be tinted too). Follow with at least two coats of interior paint-look for a paint specifically made for concrete. The concrete can also stained to create many different looks.

There are two options. Epoxy two part paint or chlorinated rubber. Epoxy is more expensive but lasts up to ten years. Chlorinated rubber is cheaper but lasts only up to four. With both paints, as a rule, The darker colours fade faster fro uv exposure and chemicals from pool water.
