What is your reaction to the thought that Leonardo da vinci may have been given credit for so long for work that was not his? Do you believe it? What should be done if this is the case?

I hope Leonardo in his heaven(?) enjoys the way young people credit him with even the most modern of inventions. The first forerunners of the fax machines were made in the mid 1800s. Leonardo had then been dead for 350 years.
In the sense that a photographer or artist tries to "capture" an aspect of a scene, yes, Leonardo Da Vinci tried to make present for the viewer more than just a person's physique. However I would not say that he tried to capture a soul like one would, say, capture a person's credit card information. It was a metaphysical side of his work. I believe that as part of his work he may have tried experiementally to enter another's existence in order to more accurately be able to depict that person and their activities.
Yes, Leonardo da Vinci designed the tank among many other things he also designed such as: Diving Gear, Hand Glider, Parachute, a rough sketch of the helicopter, rough sketch of the bicycle. However, people didn't really pay attention to Leonardo's notebooks until much later. So when people finally started to really look into his notebooks, centuries after he died, all of those inventions above, were invented (again) by different people. So even thought Leonardo was the first person to design those things, he is not the person who takes the credit for being the inventor of any of those items because no one knew about it!
Should be no problem as long as they believe you can afford to pay for the apartment.
People who were contemporaries of Leonardo left records that they saw him write and paint left handed. He also made sketches showing his own left hand at work. Being a lefty was highly unusual in Leonardo's time. Because people were superstitious, children who naturally started using their left hands to write and draw were forced to use their right hands. No one knows the true reason Leonardo used mirror writing, though several possibilities have been suggested: * He was trying to make it harder for people to read his notes and steal his ideas. * He was hiding his scientific ideas from the powerful Roman Catholic Church, whose teachings sometimes disagreed with what Leonardo observed. * Writing left handed from left to right was messy because the ink just put down would smear as his hand moved across it. Leonardo chose to write in reverse because it prevented smudging. Why do you think Leonardo wrote in reverse? There is a meaning of credit ie believe that is synonymous with credence.
credit credits discredit incredible credential
In Latin, "credit" is a form of the verb "credo" (believe). In present-day English, we usually say it in the sense of giving a person credit--lending money because you BELIEVE he will pay it back.
Credit comes from Credo, Credere=I believe, to believe. It is in the 3rd person so it would be translated directly into English as He/She/It believes though in the infinative "to believe" sounds so much more smoove

Any credit mistake can be serious. One is not greater than the other.

Many sources credit Leonardo Da Vinci with discovering hardening of the arteries. He made the discovery by dissecting human bodies. Most of the cadavers he worked on were those of people who had no relatives claim their bodies or executed criminals.
