writing is translating something that you want to get across, everyone would use it to translate to each other through life, while drawing is something that captures your imagination and shows your creativity. Although, both writing and drawing can translate something, like a general message that wants to capture the people's attention.

This is how I see it:

Drawing is more right brain, its visual. Writing is left brain- its tighter, constricted, heavier. When you read writing your brain has to work harder to decode the symbol system being used to transmit info, but looking at a picture automatically imparts information to you all at once instead of bits and pieces, just in a different way. Its not an extreme close up like writing is, its more of a zoom out so you can take in more. Its good to be able to use both.

Drawing is more open in a sense it is less 'concrete'.
