Err, no straight forward answer here I'm afraid...

Different model types may well be marked differently, in comparison to each other.

Thicker and tougher materials like leather and Denim will need a different tension to thinner more delicate materials like silk or satins.

And again the thickness and type of thread will require a different tension.

So with all these variables it becomes obvious that you'll need to buy a little extra material for your projects (a few inches, not yards and yards), as scrap, and use this to test different tensions until you are happy with the way your machine is tensioning up the threads.

With time and a little patience you'll get used to your machine, and be able to gauge roughly the tension to suit your projects.
