The first 24 hours: THIN layer of Aquaphor (made by Eucerin) wrapped with Saran Wrap, sealed with tape.

Next 4 days: Continue with a THIN layer of Aquaphor daily.

After 4 days: Use a FRAGRANCE-FREE lotion (there is an Advanced Therapy Lotion made by Eucerin as well). Fragrance Free is the most important part. Fragrances can irritate your tattoo, possibly causing distortion.

Continue lotion daily for the next couple of weeks.

Do not get your tattoo wet (baths, hot tubs, Swimming Pools) for at least 2 weeks. Showers should be fine after the first 24 hours, just be careful with soap or scrubbing.

Healing time for most tattoos is about 4-6 weeks.

PS. You should be able to find Aquaphor at your nearest Walgreens or CVS, in the Skin Care/beauty section.

A lot of people use A&D, it's a diaper rash cream. But personally i use aquaphor. It feels very soothing and doesn't cause any discoloration in your pigment!
