Years ago it was thought normal for blood pressure to increase with age. The systolic (high end) rule of thumb for over 50 years of age was 100 plus your age. So at age 60 it would be 160. This is no longer considered safe.

As best I can determine there's no longer an adjustment for age. Normal pressures are 120 to 129 systolic & 80 to 84 diastolic for all ages, with less than 120 and less than 80 being desirable. My Blood Preasure reading in the morning is in the range of 120-130 over 65-75. My pulse is 80 to 85 relaxed. Im 6'2" and weighh 215. Is this a pretty good area for me to stay in? There are other factors that I can discuss later. Thanks for any imput that anyone with knowledge can provide me.
