I think you unlock a special character, get a neat picture of your mii & all the other characters, and get the bonus of having all gold medals on your liscense. To really acheive, you have to get single, double, or triple stars on every grand prix. Then you have single, double, or triple stars on your name when racing online.

If you tie for point or time with CPU you win, if two CPU tie for points or time they will be place the opposite order that they were put before the first race started, if you tie with another player for points in grand prix the one with the best total time get first, this as been tested by me, if you tie with a player for time, it may be done the same way as a tie for points minus the last race, or maybe the one with the best lap get first, in vs mode player one always get first when tie for time. In time trial the one with the best lap get's first when tie with time, if the best lap is the same as well as the tie for time the one who recorded the time first get's first in time trial.
Credits will happen. (Note:If you get 1 Star rank or higher on every mission in level 1 to 6 you will unlock Mission level 7. If you know who the boss is it's Wiggler the Worm.)
when you defeat all of them you have to get a 3 star rank on all of them to unlock one more mission
after you beat mirror mode you can beat the game,get secret races,etc.
