Some say that the most photographed animal on earth is the cat. This would make sense because they have many different pelt types, patters, and breeds. The second would most likely be dogs for the same reason. The variety makes each one unique and that makes them great subjects for Photography. As for the other three, I could only guess with fish/marine life, horses, and other domesticated animals.
Humans couldn't survive on earth if there aren't any animals, because humans cannot live purely on a vegetarian diet. Plus, if there were no animals, most plant species might die off because animals help most plants grow and pollinate and such.

John Quincy Adams was the first President to be photographed (see Related Links), but this photo was taken in 1843 long after he left office and was serving in Congress.According to Whitehouse.gov, the first President to be photographed while in office was James Polk. There are copies of what look like a photo of William Henry Harrison, but I think these are a photo of a painting or drawing of Harrison made sometime later.
New York City, clearly.
I would say Princess Diana. For sure she was the most photographed in the UK.
September 11th 2001 is the most photographed event/ day in history while the swearing in of Barack Obama may be the most photographed moment. WW2 is the most photographed event in world history. Although it lasted a lot longer than one day.
