It all depends upon the severity of the injury. If it is a mild infarction, and relatively little cardiac muscle is affected, then the odds are quite good. If it is a massive myocardial infarction, then the odds would be quite poor.

If you do nothing to change your lifestyle or diet odds of having another only increase as time goes by. Some people have had several but none massive enough to kill them, Sometimes you can have one without even knowing and they don't always leave a scar or visible signs after either.
