In many cases the tattoos that they wear are highly symbolic and usually display their lineage, their profession, their family, etc. This is why it is VERY disrespectful to simply copy a tattoo that you see on someone, as this is usually a very custom made piece for that specific person. It is best to go to a tattoo artist who has a lot of knowledge about these kinds of designs, and can create a custom piece for you that will have the same symbolism but will be made for you, or they can create a piece that looks the same, but has no meaning to it at all.
