Coastal plains: flat land that is fronted by barrier islands, sandy beaches, sand dunes, sand bars, and coral reefs. The coastal plains are found stretching inland from both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts.
The Uplands: the hilly areas of the northern part of the state plus the raised area that runs down the middle of the state. The highest point is Britton Hill, 345 feet!
The Everglades, a huge swamp that is only 8 feet above sea level!
The Florida Keys, a series of islands (one count said there are 1,700 of them!)
