What this question is asking for is why is this definition appropriate for Sparta. It was appropriate since Sparta was known for its great military and how they didn't really do much accept for training in the army. Boys trained at thee age of seven, and girls had physical training. (Since Spartan authorities believed that rigorous exercises helped girls in producing healthy babies to later on join the army.) I hope that this answer helped you on your question!

From birth the children were taught by their mothers how to fight. When they were 8 they were taken away and put them in a 'school' where they fought each other. When the boys turned 20 they were put into the Spartan military. At the age of 30 they could marry and have children, but that did not mean they got to leave the military. If they lived long enough, they would retire from the military at age 60. The girls stayed home and learned skills from there mothers to teach to their children so the next generation would know how to fight.
Sparta had a more militaristic state than Athens. Sparta had all men training for the military at age seven and ending at age sixty (so basically their whole life was for the military). Also, Sparta valued women much more than Athens. In Athens, women had no rights at all and were only there to reproduce and to clean up after the men and manage the home. They also took care of the babies. Unlike the Sparta women who were allowed to have military training (but could not serve in the military), play sports, learn about the arts, go out in public, and own property/stores. Those from Sparta were descendants of the Dorian invaders, however those from Athens were descendants of the Ionians. Athens founded democracy, and believed that the individual was important, while Sparta believed in the state rather than the individual, with a government based on a oligarchic system. Sparta based their society on the repression of 'Helots' (slaves). Athens freed their slaves and abolished debt slavery.
No, Sparta became most powerful after Athens was defeated in the Peloponnesian War, was stripped of its empire and revenue, and so lost its golden age without the money it mulcted from its empire.

There is no set age difference for boys and girls to marry. Usually, there is only a couple of years between the couple. In other instances, there may be 10 or more years between the two.
Yes, Sparta was known for its military might because of their system of war. Boys at the age of 7 were taken to military camp until the age of 18. The best of them stayed in the war until the age of 60. They were then allowed to leave.
It's likely you're not allowed to marry an inanimate object no matter what your age is :)
In Sparta ate age 7 boys and girls went to training, but then at age 15 girls married. In Athens ate age 7 only boys went to training which included education and girls stayed home.
In the renaissance girls were legally allowed to get married at the age of 12 but if they decide earlier they can get married at the age of 7.
The marriage age of a girl in Sparta is about 14 years old.
In Kentucky, if you are under 16, you must get approval to marry from the District Court. The legal age to marry in the Commonwealth of Kentucky is 18 or above. With Parental consent 16 and 17 year olds are allowed to marry.
