When I was having mine done there was a 91 year old lady having one done. UK.
My Dad just had his hip replaced, and he is 6 weeks shy of 100 years old. Still active, has all his mental faculties, lives in his own home with my Mom who is 95. Indiana
The earliest recorded attempts at hip replacement (Gluck T, 1891), which were carried out in Germany, used ivory to replace the femoral head (the ball on the femur).[1] In 1940, at Johns Hopkins hospital, Dr. Austin T. Moore (1899-1963), an American surgeon, reported and performed the first metallic hip replacement surgery. The original prosthesis he designed was a proximal femoral replacement, with a large fixed head, made of the Cobalt-Chrome alloy Vitallium. It was about a foot in length and it bolted to the resected end of the femoral shaft (hemi-athroplasty). This was unlike later (and current) hip replacement prostheses which are inserted within the medullary canal of the femur. A later version of Dr. Moore's prosthesis, the so-called 'Austin Moore', introduced in 1952 is still in use today. (sourced from wikipedia)

If you need a hip replacement, then age is not an issue.
Having a hip replacement at 97 years of age must make Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother one of the oldest hip replacement patients ever. The Queen Mum (as she was affectionately known) had already had one hip replaced at the age of 95 (metal-on-poly) and recovered well from the procedure only to fall and break her other hip two years later. On each occasion the Queen Mother made an amazingly quick recovery. She was a woman with a huge amount of spirit.
Hip Replacement or hip arthroplasty is a surgical procedure to treat the damaged portion of the hip. A person who performs this procedure by making certain incisions to remove the damaged part of the hip and replacing them with prosthetic implants is a Hip Replacement surgeon.
How long a person needs to see a physical therapist after hip replacement surgery really depends on the person. There are other factors to be considers such as age, health, complexity of the surgery, and how quickly a person's body heals itself.
Between 200,000 and 300,000 hip replacement operations are performed in the United States each year, most of them in patients over the age of 60.

Hip resurfacing or total hip replacement
Yes. The injury can vary from person to person. I would recommend start out slow with your new hip and walk long distances then work up to jogging, etc.
blood plasma donation after total hip replacement
Hip replacements can be both. But a revision is simply when they have to re-operate, or revise an exisiting hip replacement, often by putting a new one in.
A replacement hip should not be squeaking. Contact your surgeon regarding this. There may be a recall on the replacement hip, or there may be a more simple solution. Do not assume that this is normal.
Hip arthroplasty is a hip replacement. Arthropathy is any joint disease.
