Four that I know of:
1. Faster acting thus safer.
2. Fuses often spark when they blow and can cause fires.
3. You can reset it once the problem is solved. With a fuse you may have to go shopping to get a new one if you don't have (or cant find) a spare.
4. Idiots can't stick nails or other bits of wire in the space when they can't find a proper fuse!
Cynics also say - they are more expensive which helps electrical manufacurers make bigger profits.
circuit breaker, not fuse. if it doesn't work, unhook battery for 30 sec and try again
There is a circuit breaker thaich could be bad.
The license plate light circuit is protected with the tail light circuit fuse.
Household circuits come in two flavors, 15 amp and 20 amp. Check the circuit breaker or fuse in your panel to see which one your outlet is wired to. If the outlet is on a 15 amp circuit, you could only run one, but if you have a 20 amp circuit, you could get away with two, assuming there are no other appliances plugged into the same circuit. The electrical code says circuits should be loaded to no more than 80% of the breaker's rating. for a 20 amp breaker, that works out to 16 amps. Your two lamps would draw 16.6 amps, so you would be right at the limit.
You might check the Amps size of the fuse. A lot of times, if you are using a fuse with too little Ampage, it can cause the fuse to blow. Your owner's manual should tell the proper size of fuse for that specific circuit.
A circuit breaker does not have a wire fuse in it.
A circuit breaker/fuse is designed to protect the wiring from getting overloaded.
You can reset a circuit breaker but a fuse you must replace.
An example of a circuit protection device is a fuse. Another example is a circuit breaker.
circuit breaker, or "resettable fuse", which is a reallya small circuit breaker in the housing of a fuse
A fuse or circuit breaker used in a circuit is usually inserted in series with the load.
An alternative to using a fuse is to use an electrical circuit breaker.
A fuse or circuit breaker will fit this description.
By a fuse or a circuit breaker.
It does not have a circuit breaker. It uses a fuse to protect the circuit. Look for a blown fuse in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.I believe the cigarette lighter circuit is protected with a glass barrel fuse not a circuit breaker. Check the fuse box for a blown fuse.
A circuit breaker takes the place of a fuse. No.
A fuse must be replaced if blown, a circuit breaker can be reset.
