There is one fusebox underneath the dashboard on the drivers (on RH drive vehicles) side of the vehicle. It has a cover, which is about the size of a small magaxine. there is a hand hold at the lowest end of this cover. SImply grap onto this and pull gentle. the cover will come away. behind the cover there are some spare fuses and a diagram indicating which fuse does what. On the fuseboard there are a variety of different size fuses, and AA small set of fuse tweasers for pulling out fuses.
I believe that there is also another fuse box in the engine bay, but soemone else will need to give you details about that.
Depends on gearbox ( auto or manual ). Front of gearbox a little way up near to bellhousing. Requires hex key.
On my 1995 Passat it is located on the fuse block, under the dash, to the left of the steering column. I doubt they have moved it from this location.
The power window fuse in a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta is located above the relays. The relay/fuse box is usually located near the steering wheel.

In a VW Sharan, the flasher unit is typically located in the fuse box. Depending on the model year, the fuse box can be found either under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the engine compartment. You may need to consult the owner's manual for the exact location and the diagram to identify the flasher relay.
