Remove the inside door panel. Push the window track. Upward, until the window is completely closed. Lock the window linkage in place, so the window will not fall down.
If your 2004 Saturn has a window that won't roll up, this could be due to something blocking the window. It could also mean that your electrical system is damaged.
Possible causes. 1.Bad Fuse 2.Bad Motor 3.Bad Switch 4.Window has slid out of its track If the window rolls up to a certain point but stops then it may have slid out of track and is hitting a rubber or plastic guide. In the event of the window sliding out of its track. This can be confirmed by looking down the seal of the door with a flash light. Try to roll the window up and see if its hitting anything. It may be something else but it seems these are the most likely.
Remove the inner door panel and lubricate all moving parts - with grease or graphite lubricant, if this does not help, the window frame in the door may be bent slightly.
Hey Steve= the most common problem is for a roller in the linkage to break. It is a big job and someone who knowa how, to repair it. Call your local auto trim shop. GoodluckJoe I had a rear window that did this. I removed the window motor. Now it's a manual window; I have to use my hands to pull it down and lift it up. I don't have to worry about locking my keys in my car although it will set off the car alarm if you roll it down with the car locked; you have to put your key in the ignition to stop the alarm. Of well.
you cannot manually roll up the window. I disconnected the harness and used 2 wires to jump power from the cargo light socket to the harness, one way is up the other is down by reversing them.
no. this window is locked on a track and connected to cables or gears. If you take everything apart and shim up the window only and still it does not come open easily.
You can but if the power window motor is bad it still won't roll up.
not really
If it is hard to roll up and has no broken regulator, you can spray silicone lubricante in thre tracks.
take the door panel off and disconect the wire assembly or window regulator that goes to the power window moter and manually pull the window up.
1999 Pontiac motana mini van driver window will roll down but will not roll up ??????
Yes
You can remove the door panel. And there are 3 star bolts that hold the power window motor. Once you remove the motor you can remove gear cable from motor and pull up the window by hand. That is the only way I know of. I had two motorcables brake on me.
you can by pass the switch, get wiring diagram and figuare out wich wires are for window motor you need rolled up, then remove switch and put power to wire that will make motor roll window up
Yes, you can remove the door panel and manually let the window down. When you do this, be careful not to break the window.
the track may not be align and its binding somewhere inside. you have to remove the trim and the plastic water seal so you have a better view. if you can roll your window manually the better but first you have to disconnect wiring harness from the power window motor. if not just try to roll it up and down using its own switch and check where it binds do the necessary adjustment. check also your window gasket maybe its the culprit. goodluck.
