Great question. He does. However, in an effort to fully understand the scenario it is important to realize that he takes a very active role in preparing his daily scripts. It is noticeable however when he runs several words in a row together that he is, indeed, reading from a teleprompter.
p.s. I have a cousin who works at CNBC as a studio technician and she has occasionally been on set (beforehand) and talked to more involved members of Cramer's crew.

If you purchase rechargeable batteries and the charger, you can recharge them outside the camera.
