  • try some potassium , mustard, bananas
  • If you are an adult and are referring to 'restless leg syndrome' - the latest studies indicate that this entity may reflect that the individual is low in Mg (magnessium), complex vitamin B, and Zn (zinc).
  • In the longer term, ensuring you have sufficient levels of magnesium (and calcium) helps to prevent them. For relief at the time, get someone to pull your toes up toward you while keeping your leg outstretched which will stretch the muscle.
  • Latest research being taught at uni is that it's dehydration - not lack of salt - so make sure you're getting 1 litre of water per 10 kilos that you weigh a day.

Try eating lots of bananas. They are high in potassium which is a natural cramp reliever. Most cramps are contributed by the unresting of muscles which leads to them spazing out. in consequence creating an un-ordianry pain sensation that his hard to get rid of. To get rid of foot cramps immediately try putting all of your weight on the effected foot and bob up and down. this usually relaxes the muscles.

Everyone has suffered from leg cramps at least once. You might have been out playing soccer or randomly had a leg cramp while waking up or falling asleep. Leg cramps are hard to predict and can be brought on by a variety of conditions or activities such as: overuse of muscles, cold temperatures, dehydration, lack of nutrients, or blood flow problems. No one is completely safe from a leg cramp, but there are numerous prevention and treatment tips that can ease the pain. PreventionIt is always important to stay hydrated. Studies have shown that dehydration is the most common cause of muscle cramps. However, water sometimes won't be enough. Try salt tablets and sports drinks to restore the lost minerals and electrolytes. Leg cramps are often caused by a potassium deficiency, so try eating plenty of bananas. Taking multi-vitamins will also help with prevention and can help lessen the pain. Although it could be considered counterintuitive, try jumping around a few times a week after a workout or physical activity. Jumping and hopping drills keeps the spindles in your muscles conditioned. Keeping the spindles fit may help the nerves in the muscles from getting tired and cramping. Improving your flexibility can decrease the chance of a leg cramp. Remember to stretch before and after exercising. Practicing yoga can be a good idea if you are prone to cramps Also, a structured warm-up and cool down routine can keep the leg cramps away
