Under the hood you will see 2 cables comming from the throttle body. one is the foot pedal the other leads to the cruise control module. That is it! The cruise control unit is located inside the left front fender. You have to remove the wheel and wheel well liner to access it.

the filter is located behind the right front inner fender, the plastic fender well. raise vehicle & remove the right front wheel. Remove rear half of the screws that hold the inner fender plus one or two located just under the bottom of the right front fender. Lift & pull the inner fender out of the way. If it has never been replaced the filter will be bolted to the frame. Remove the bolt then you will need a fuel line coupler depressor tool that slides down the fuel line into the fuel filter to release the tabs that secure the filter to the line. There may also be a safety bracket that keeps the fuel line secure in the event the coupler fails. Buy a quality filter, you don't want to do this again any time soon. drl
The compressor is located behind the passenger side of the front bumper. Remove the front passenger tire (remember to turn off your compressor using the switch located behind the little door on the left inside of your trunk), remove the plastic 'cowling' from the under side of the fender. This will give you access to the pump without too much difficulty. == ==
LH side or RH side take the plastic shield or inner fender(mud gard) that is below the fender then take the signal lamp off ,after that start taking the nuts that holds the bumper cover and fender close to the tire it could be an 8 or 10 ml socket ,open the door and you'll see 2 more fender bolts take those off also ,under the car where the fender ends it has two more bolts take theme off then on the upper seccion of the fender it has more screws. good luck!
The 1982 Lincoln front door panel is held in place with four retaining bolts and 12 retaining clips. Remove the retaining bolts and pry outward on each retaining clip.
