You can hack the game to play as him in single-player with an Action-Replay.

∙ 12y agoIf you're referring to Shy Guy, in order to play as him, you would have to be a player using the DS-Download feature for the Multi-Player.
There is no legit way to play as him in single player, you would need to hack the game with an Action Replay.
