How do you do a power slide turbo on Mario Kart WII?

First, at the beginning of the race, just after you have chosen your character, select manual. Now when there is a good corner jump with B and when you land turn in the direction you want to go.You will skid round the corner and after a while you will see blue sparks.When you see them let go and you will have a small boost.

WARNING!

Normally on automatic B would be use item. This time use it with the left arrow button!
