Go to Pantone Colour Finder
enter the TPX numbers and the color will be displayed on the screen.
1. Open the Sourcecode

?On line 494 you will find the HTML colour (#)?

Go to Perbang and type the #code in the bow (without the #) and click on Go?

Then it will show the values in RGB, CMYK, HSV and HSL

Also it will show the original TPX color

Example: 17-1818 TPX ( on line 494 #a65e7e)
Result RGB 166-94-126

-- OR --

?Just go to Perbang and enter the color name in the search box to the right. If you enter "18-3949 TPX" it will give you the HEX value 2E4DA7. Then click it to get all details.?

BTW, the above mentioned search box can apparently be inserted into any web page as a widget - very useful.

You don't. The two systems are completely different. PANTONE numbers, the ones out of the old XR747 fanbook, are used to print on paper with ink. PANTONE TPX numbers? TPX stands for "textile paper extended"--the colors are for textile dyes, the samples are on paper and the set is "extended" in some way.

In general, you can't. Pantone codes are essentially lookup keys to a particular shade; they can't be "decoded" into RGB/HSV/whatever values.

Or rather, www.pantone.com has a great colour cross reference guide on their website. You can go to http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/color_xref.aspx and then select from the 3 menu sections:Pantone color guide> choose Pantone® Fashion + Home cotton for TPX colours; Color> you can search for your colour number using the search icon - without the TPX at the end is easier; for X-Ref Pantone Guide> just choose any option as they don't have RGB). Once you have done this you can click on the first colour swatch and it will give you the RGB and hex values. For 19-3921 TCX they recommend RGB 43;48;66 or Hex#2B3042. Hope this helps?

There appear not to be any direct conversion algorithms from Pantone. I suggest you empirically test a bunch of colors.
