Look on back of controller on the left side. You'll see a hidden compartment you can slide off to reveal a cord you plug into the back of the car.
We had the same question and after not seeing an answer here figured it out and decided to post for others. The box said it came with a manual but we didn't get one.
To add to this, the controller has to be on and the car has to be off for it to actually charge.
What system are you playing on? If you are playing on the Wii it is possible that the Wiimote sensor is a little bit off and it is misreading when you are turning. I would recalibrate the controller before playing again and see if it works better.

If you browse YouTube you will find some very good how-to videos on DIY cable cams. I should think that the wifi remote capabilities built in to some Hero models would suffice without specific RC knowledge.

yes, you do with all the RC helicopters I've ever had. but don't leave the actual chopper on or it won't charge.

To charge a rc battery,first find out the battery capacity,Then the out put of the charger. Divide those together and times by 1.5 to get the hours and minutes to charge the battery. Note .15 is 10 minutes.
