for the 3.5L you must do the following:
remove the battery
take off the support bar thing for the hood
drain your radiator (drain valve located on the passenger side bottom of the radiator)
remove the upper rad hose
you can remove your electric fans if you think you'll need more room, easy, 4 bolts and 1 electrical plug to unhook
loosen and remove your serpentine and A/C belts
remove serpentine belt tensioner pulley
remove the 3 peice timing belt cover, the bottom 3 bolts can be accessed through the spokes of the lower crank pulley
rotate the timing belt using the crank pulley until the marks on the camshaft gears line up with the 2 dots above the gears. the same goes for the crank pulley, there should be 2 marks stamped into the metal that line up
you'll have to go underneath the car to unbolt 2 bolts holding the timing belt tensioner. which you will have to use a vice grip to re-tension and then slip a small nail or Alan key through the little hole to hold it
now that your timing belt is loose you'll want to check it because it might need replacing and this is the best time to (it can be slipped under the crank pulley
the water pump is located in the center of the timing belt relay, held on by 3 bolts, unscrew these and remove the pump, clean out the chamber and where the gasket will go, put the new pump in, make sure the gasket goes in nicely, tighten bolts,
put the timing belt back on, be very careful to keep everything in line, you might need help with this, when you have everything hand tight, have the tensioner put back on underneath and when you've double double checked it will be in time, "release the grenade" and it will tension,
put the covers back on (making sure to replace the gasket or re applying gasket maker)you can bend the bottom of the main cover a bit so it slips in easier, don't worry it will bend back once you tighten the screws
put the belts back on, check for cracked belts (good time to replace :p )
put the fans back in
put the upper rad hose back on, re-fill the radiator (new fluid if old stuff was crap)
replace the hood bar, put the battery back in, start your engine, hopefully your engine is in time or you'll have to repeat everything
Drain the water from your cooling system. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.

It's been a while since I worked on a 1G Talon, but I believe the water Pump is located on the serpentine belt. It's the same belt with the crank shaft and alternator. No, you should not remove the timing belt.
it goes into the tube that pushes into the flange that bolts to the water pump it goes into the tube that pushes into the flange that bolts to the water pump

On a 95 Eagle Vision Tsi (I am unsure of the difference between esi and tsi) the water pump is located behind the timing belt cover and is driven off the timing belt.
For the Eagle Vision TSi trim-code, which always shipped with a 3.5 liter engine (the ESi could have either a 3.3 or 3.5), the water pump is located behind the stamped timing belt cover, so normally you can't see it. To access the pump, you'll need to remove the timing belt covers (there are two pieces) and then remove the timing belt.
Drain cooling system/radiator remove serpentine/accessory belt(s) remove pulley from water pump remove water pump clean engine surface very well install new pump, pulley, belt(s) and refill system run for 15-20 mins and check coolant level again, bleed system if neccesary.
In the fuel tank. There is an access plate in the trunk.

The 1993 Eagle Vision equipped with the 3.5 Liter V6 has a timing belt. The belt MUST be replaced at 105,000 miles or 10 years. The cam belt also drives the water pump, so replace the pump at the same time to save on labor costs later on when the pump fails. Warning: This engine is an INTERFERENCE engine. If the belt breaks, serious engine damage will occur. The 3.3L has a chain. No maintenance neccessary.
eagles do not have water pumps on their talons dude
its not hard but time consuming best way to do this is to go get a chilton repair manual it will walk you through it
the water pump is part of the timing belt or chain. you have to take the belt or chain off to change the water pump. if you change the water pump, change the belt too.
i put a water pump in my 95 eagle summit now it wont start. i need help figuring out what could be wrong?
