just if your worried buy a new muffler. but i would say not to bad. it will dry up.
It really depends how much water you are talking about. Was water placed into the muffler say during a car wash? Or could it be coolant from a blown head gasket? Most modern mufflers actually create water through a chemical reaction. So if you are seeing a little drip out of the drain hole you are probably ok.
NO!
The 1994 Nissan Altima muffler will cost approximately $50. There are several qualities of muffler's available. A stainless steel muffler will cost approximately $200.
The muffler is part of the exhaust system.
THATS usally cause by the engine using oil-because of bad oil rings etc.
That's exactly what it is, water. The products of combustion are water and carbon dioxide. While the exhaust stays hot the water comes out as high temperature steam, usually you don't even notice it. When the exhaust pipe and/or outside temperature is cold enough the exhaust will cool and some of the water vapor will condense into steam and possibly even water that drips from a weep hole in the muffler. If you're seeing a little water drip from the muffler, everything is working as designed.
A clogged muffler can.
No heavy water in the muffler.
No a bad muffler shouldn't, but a clogged catalytic converter will.
Its not coolant. It is vapor that condensed and formed into water as your muffler cooled from the last time it was used. Could be indication of a bad head gasket
A bad muffler on a 96 civic could cause loud exhaust noise. The muffler could cause hard starting if it is stopped up.
No it is not a bad thing. The muffler was invented to muffle the sound. The muffler does not enhance anything. However, the muffler stops the engine being noisy and it is a LEGAL requirement to have one, if you take it off, the police will stop and fine you and your car may be crushed.
It is not bad to run it without a muffler with a straight pipe. But remember the louder it is doesn't necessarily mean the better the performance.
Your bad muffler might be part of the reason your check engine light comes on. Usually, your bad muffler causes something else to go wrong and that causes your check engine light to come on. Problems cascade.
depends on how bad the muffler is.. if it is all rotted out it will be very loud and rattle sounding and wont sound too good.. not very good for the vehicle
Yes it is possible.
It sounds like crap
If there is a rotted hole in the muffler please replace the muffler. However, if there is a small hole at the bottom end of the muffler it is there to allow water to escape.
