The 1999 Mercedes-Benz horn relay switch can be found on the drivers side front quarter panel. The horn relay switch will be behind the headlight assembly.
see if theres any current going through the fuse or just replace the whole horn
I'm sorry if this sounds silly, but did you put the battery in backwards?
You have to determine the cause first. Check the horn switch and contacts, fuse, relay and the horn itself.
The horn itself has failed The horn contacts/switches on steering wheel are dirty or broken The horn relay has failed The horn circuit fuse blew Wiring and or connections are corroded or broken
sohunds like you have a short on the horn botton, you only have a hot wire, so when you push the horn botton it make a gorund to make the horn sound

check the horn fuse
On a 2000 Mercedes Benz ML430, the horn is typically located behind the front grille, near the radiator support. It is mounted on the driver's side and can be accessed by removing the grille or the front bumper, depending on your approach. If you need to replace or troubleshoot the horn, it's advisable to consult the vehicle's service manual for detailed instructions.
A 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 has several fuse boxes located inside the vehicles engine compartment. The horn fuses, there are two, are located in the fuse box next to the master cylinder. The fuse numbers are 40 and 41.
I'd first check the fuse box. There may be one labeled HORN.
Could be the fuse or relay....if you drive through a lot of puddles it could be water in the horn.....has happened to me.....
Number 5 slot 20 amp under the hood
The 2001 Mercedes-Benz on fuse will be the number 14 fuse. The number 14 fuse will be in the second column, fourth from the top.
The horn relay on a 1995 Mercedes S420 is typically located in the engine compartment fuse box. To access it, open the hood and look for the rectangular black fuse box near the driver's side. The horn relay will usually be labeled, and you can refer to the diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover for specific identification.
We have a 1995 Miata and the horn stops working from time to time. If you lift the hood, right in front of the radiator, the horn plugs in. I just re plug it when it happens. I hope this is what your miata is doing.
