Arthropods, i think are usually scavengers and they feed on the dead. Arachnids (Insects) either eat other insects, much smaller to them or they eat dead stuff. Marine arthropods feed on the dead too...!

If all spiders were dead, well, the world would basically be taken over by bugs. Since the spiders aren't around to eat the bugs, we'd have to rely on frogs to catch all the bugs and eventually, we may end up having to eat bugs. I don't know for sure what would happen, but that is my opinion.
