yes you can get this code, code p0455 is a large evap leak detected or no purge flow detected. A loose cap could create a large leak, so this could be the problem. However most loose gas caps will give you a small leak detected code.
P0455 and P0452 have to do with fuel vapor leaks, will not cause a starting problem. P0340 is a cam sensor code. You need to diagnose for a failed cam sensor.
A good place to start would be the fuel cap, it may be faulty or just not on tight.
you have excess flow through the egr system. check for a broken, disconnected, or loose tube, or faulty solenoid.
The airbag computer has detected a malfunction and set a code.
I don't think you can bypass them.
Trouble code P0455 means: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (gross leak/no flow)
check your gas cap if its loose replace it
EVAP emission control system leak (large). Check to see if the fuel cap is missing or loose.
P0455 = EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large). Could be as simple as a loose fuel cap. You can keep driving. This is only emissions related but it will fail an emissions test.
Trouble code P0455 means: EVAP System Gross Leak (0.080") Detected
Can not find answer for a P0455 code for my 1999 S 70 Volvo (check engine light), with a buddies meter, trying to save money, can anyone give a clue, is it serious or is Volvo Dealer blowing smoke. If you could also provide re-setting technique, it would be highly appreicated.
Trouble code P0455 means: EVAP System Large Leak (0.080") Detected
what does code p3538 and code P0455 mean
DTC P0455: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Large Leak
Code P0455 means "Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (gross leak/no flow)"
There are multiple causes. The simplest is usually a loose or defective fuel cap. Any loose or broken hose in the evaporative emission system can cause it as well.
Two common causes are loose gas cap and cracked hoses between the tank and engine.
