Considering that Judaism prohibits tattoos, getting a tattoo of a symbol associated with Judaism is kind of adding insult to injury. Although many Jews choose to get tattoos, having a Jewish symbol as the tattoo doesn't make it any less prohibited.
There are two accepted exceptions to this, Jewish victims of the Holocaust who were tattooed by the Nazis and Jewish military veterans who got/get military tattoos.

No one is keeping them from having one if they want. But some orthodox Jews believe the scriptures teach against it so it would not be acceptable.
No. It is a Torah-level violation. Leviticus 19:28 prohibits any markings or tattoos.
They're not supposed to, since Judaism doesn't allow tattooing (Leviticus ch.19), but I suppose they see it as another way of expressing their identity.
Jewish people are not supposed to have tattoos at all.
no, not usually
probably to avoid social judgment. or maybe their tattoos just suck.
yes I hate to differentiate from the above given answer, but visible tattoos are a big no no in all branches of the military. The Navy MIGHT go a little less hard on you, but I doubt it.
Answer that in itself is a very stupid question....should everyone have tattoos.....no...tattoos are a sign of individuality and not just another form of identification...many people do not like tattoos...so this brings me back to why should everyone have a tattoo? Those with tattoos show individuality
