You can get one from any ranger or explorer 94 or below, and it can come fromany 2.9,or 4.0 engine
almost all as far as chassis only difference I know of is the charging system.
i believe it is up to 86 maybe 88 that are the same truck.
u can plow with anything, but a ranger is a light truck. this means it will not have the traction to dig into the snow(4wd is the way to go ) . also the trans. is not built for the added load of plowing. I have a 1997 ranger xlt 4 wheel drive that I've used for 4 years to plow and it works fine.
It depends on where your at, in the rainforest it can happen in a year, while in other places take hunreds of years.
75-79
what are the years and kinds of Automatic transmissions that will fit in a 2.3l 97 ford ranger 4x2
The 1997 Ford Ranger model was available from as early as 1993. So all models between 1993 and 1997 will have interchangeable body panels.
While it depends on the engine size, generally a 2001 and 2000 ford ranger will have interchangeable parts as far as interior, transmission and attachable engine parts. The features and special package parts will vary between models of the same year as well as different years so those "in general" won't be interchangeable.
1973-1987
As far as i am aware the engines and transmissions are interchangeable between 99-02 cavalier z24's as long as the are both z24 cavaliers.
All motors and transmissions are interchangeable with each other from the years 90-94, it only boils down to Model and drive setup, such as AWD vs FWD. The only difference I have seen with the 4g63 and 4g63t engines is the oil run off tube and oil feed tube for the turbo, other than that there doesn't seem to be any other differences so to a degree, yes. they are interchangeable
What other years will my 1999 jeep soft top fit!
1995-1997
1994 to 1997 were all in-line 4and later changed to a slant 4 in 1998 all those years the automatic transmissions were interchangeable as well. Hope it helps.
you can call your local salvage yard they should have a program to tell you that for sure
In some respects they are similar, but they have a lot of different things. First the 85 Ranger is still carbureted while the 92 is equipped with a fuel injection system. Transmissions are different between the years as well. If the engine is the 2.3 there may be some similiarities between the two. I own two 85's with the 2.9 gasoline engine. One thing is that the wheels between the years usually fit each other. Hope this helps.
