What are the characteristics of a good animals raiser?

Somebody good at raising animals would have to be able to be extremely gentle, kind, calm, patient (especially for training them), and caring/motherly. They should also know how to raise whatever animal they are taking care of, obviously, so it can very a little bit as to how friendly or cautious you should be. An example of this would be that you keep distance from lions and avoid eye contact for your own safety, but make eye contact with scared dogs and approach slowly and cautiously so that you do not scare them. There of course are many in-betweens, but those are some that came to mind for this. ^-^
