It depends how many animals are needed to be put down.

sadly the animals at the rspca that are not wanted are put down. Or they get shifted to other pet shops or they get advertised to see if people who don't visit the rspca want them.
animal shelters try their best not to put animals down due to overcrowding. I have never heard of any shelter putting animals down for this reason, if they have too many they put good home wanted notices in papers and the internet. But, Depending where you are....They do put them down alot due to overcrowding.......Where i live,They put alot down each week.....I have to agree of what they should do....Put notices up...But most shelters just put them down...Its really truly sad :(
After 3 days they will evaluate the animals fitness, aggresion, and other factors and if it does not meet standards the animals will be put down. After at 3monthers or so
