Who was the Greek god Hephaestus?

Hephaestus was the god of technology, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, blacksmiths, metals, Metallurgy, fire, and volcanoes. He is among the twelve Olympian Gods and is the son of Zeus in Hera (although in some versions of Greek mythology, Hera was said to have given birth to him without a male partner). He has dark hair, and was said to be lame, crippled, and ugly, and walked with the aid of a stick.

Hephaestus, according to Greek mythology, was thrown off Olympus by Zeus because he had taken Hera's side in an argument between Zeus and Hera. He fell for nine days and nights and landed on the island of Lemnos. However, other versions say that Hera threw Hephaestus off of Olympus because she was ashamed by his ugliness, and that he fell for only one day. After he fell to Lemnos, Hephaestus was brought up by a non-Olympian goddess and became a master craftsman. The Olympians later on realized his skill, and he returned to Olympus.
But because Hera repelled Hephaestus, he cleverly crafted a golden chariot for revenge, which he then gifted to Hera. Hera could not escape after settling on the seat, and was stuck. Several gods begged Hephaestus to free Hera; however, he refused and sent them away with his fire. Finally, a god named Dionysus, the god of vegetation and wine, made Hephaestus drunk. Once he was intoxicated, Dionysus led him to Olympus on the back of a mule. Yet Hephaestus still refused to free Hera until he was given either Athena or Aphrodite as a wife. After being rewarded Aphrodite, he freed Hera. Soon after Hephaestus and Aphrodite's marriage, Hephaestus found that his wife had been committing adultery, along with Ares as her partner. He then revealed the couple to the other Olympian gods, much to their laughter.

Hephaestus crafted stunning divine works of art for all of the gods, which are all relevant to their myths and attributed objects.

Most of this is true (well that's what I believe), but I just wanted to give you what I learned about Hephaestus, although I do not want to delete this person's hard work and waste all the time, effort, and energy he put in this. So this is what I learned ( and it might be the same as his although with a few minor changes).

He has black hair and was boring, ugly, he was nice, but he just wasn't pleasant or fun to be with. One day, Zeus and Hera were in an argument and Hephaestus took Hera's side, so Zeus, in his anger hit Hephaestus with such a blow that he fell for three days and nights and soon landed on the island of Lemnos. He then was brought up by nymphs and became a master craftsman. The Olympians soon realized his skill and he was welcomed back to Olympus
